    once drove a 318i e46, that was a nice drive, this is probably even better....

    But 2.8 isn't small anymore. And Mercedes had one too.

    He already mentioned that, and mazda has a 1.8L v6 (Mazda MX3)

    Fine the way it is as far as I can see. The 320i is a I6 (thought is was I4 but guess BMW made a smaller 6 years ago).
