"I find the whole business of religion profoundly interesting, but it does mystify me that otherwise intelligent people take it seriously." Douglas Adams
yes ... while it was Stewart Racing.
Once sold to Jaguar they went down hill
Honda DO use their racing heritage occasionaly ... when we get chance to see the RA300 and the bikes in their ads BUT they don't think that it is what makes most of their cars sell. In bikes they use the heritage all the time ... they are still a bike company at heart I reckon

Holy crap! You're right!
Johnny Herbert won the 1999 European Grand Prix at Nurburgring with Stewart-Ford! And more amazing too, Rubens Barrichello got 3rd at the same Grand Prix with Stewart-Ford!

I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
They use their racing heritage in marketing all the time, in fact they overuse it.
The Ford GT does, Ford by itself doesn't. Following Quiggs' example:No because it had the heritage behind. 4 Le Mans wins always help.
"I spent $160K on a Ferrari > I spent $160K on a Ford"
Doesn't make sense either, does it?
Now, "I spent $160k on a Ford GT" (ballpark figure, I don't really know the price) makes just as much sense as saying" I spent $90k on an Acura / Honda NSX."
You and I know that, the average consumer doesn't.It's fair considering it could go around tracks faster than many 400hp american cars.
