about portughese cars (and others, not common) I also make some threads about a year ago. use search engine, maybe found pics you like
the car was developped by libian government, as the prime minister or president (i don't remember) had an ambition to built one like that.

i assume the government has changed and thus the project was dropped...

I know it has a large industry, but Perodua and Naza are not exported (at least to Europe and America). That's what I mean - they're almost unknown.
In fact, Protons were sold in Russia, so I can say I know them not bad
P.S. I know Perodua and Naza produce only foreign cars (Daihatsu, Kia, Ssang Yong, Toyota and some others) - am I right or they had (have?) some own projects?

The car has special front and rear-end designs that help to reduce fatalities during collisions through the creation of a "crumble zone;" anti-roll devices; a "smart" collapsible bumper and tires that resist blowouts. Also, the car uses Xenon technology, which reduces headlight glare to oncoming traffic. The rocket-shaped prototype is Libyan green with tinted windows."

    any updates on this car?

edit: some snippets for you lazies:

"The interior is replete with air bags, an inbuilt electronic defence system, and a collapsible bumper which protects passengers in head-on collisions."

"The invention of the safest car in the world is proof that the Libyan revolution is built on the happiness of man."
and obviously the unhappiness of the man who sees it in his rear view mirror! bless!

I only bought it because it is so damn cheap to buy, maintain and drive How many cars are out there, that do 4.5 l / 100 km average over a longer distance !!! (or the double with a heavy right foot).

It does indeed give fun sometimes, but it remains a cheap ass, poor quality car with some bizarre behaviour at times..
