    yeah, i ended up spending $600 all up in checkups, which is not a trifling sum, but some of the cars if i had got them would have cost like $20k to fix..

    cheers guys, everyone keeps saying how nice it is. my favourite trick is giving lifts to people and watching them search for the rear door handles. My grandparents thought it was a 2 door.

    A familiar situation here as well. To make matters worse, I actually have a 2 door car with hidden door handles. I have seen more than my share of confused faces and heard finger nails scratching bare metal...

    Congrats on your first Alfa, you may consider yourself as a true petrol head now. Have you heard any rust jokes yet?

    What car would that be?

    (I'd be guessing an Alfa of some sort.)
