Antique Car Show - Chantilly, Virginia - June 17, 2007
On June 17, my parents and I went to the annual Antique Car Show held at historic Sully Plantation in Chantilly, Virginia. There were a few hundred classic cars in attendance, nearly all dating from before 1972 (which was the cut-off year for participation). Unfortunately, there were so many cars there that there was no way I could take pictures of them all (there was a whole row of Corvettes that I didn't get any pictures of). Also, we arrived there closer to the end than to the start, and many cars that I was able to glimpse from afar were gone by the time I got close. There was also an area with cars for sale, and a number of vendors tents (including one guy who had an owner's manual for a 1974 Mercury Cougar (something that, alas, my Cougar didn't come with)).
Enough excuses, let's get to the pictures. I took a lot more than these, and some cars I'll probably devote Oddball Corner threads to when I have time, but if you want more of a certain car or any pictures in higher resolution, just say the word.
Pictures #1:
1. Sully Plantation is a designated historic site in Fairfax County, and the main house dates back to the 1790's. Much of the land that was originally owned by the plantation is now occupied by Dulles International Airport, so low-flying aircraft were a common sight through out the day
2-3. Establishing shots

UCP's biggest (only?) fan of the '74-'76 Mercury Cougar.
UCP's proudest owner of a '74 Cougar
