    Racing Schools

Anyone been to a driving school like the Bondurant, Skip Barber, F1 experience, or similar schools?

No. Almost went to one of the rally-racing one week programs sponsored by the Air Force a couple years back though. Wish I did.

Recommend local Knockhill training to many friends and their children !
Do some of the teaching myself on the local sprint track.

Bondurant is supposed to be really good, same with Skip Barber. Haven't heard anything of the other two though.
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

Just got my license a couple weeks ago, and to tell the truth, I've been thinking about racing schools to help increase my experience.

I haven't had time (because of college stuff), but I'll definitely be more serious about a racing school once I have time.

Find a place to go autocrossing on the weekends. You'll learn quite a bit on your own.

You can autocross anything, but don't think you are going to be competitive with a stock car.

    its your friend.

any car will do, it just has to pass a basic tech inspection. almost all chapters have helmets to borrow. 15-30 bucks and you get 4-5 runs and a little bit of working. good times will be had by all.

i would say that for your first couple times, you are just learning your car and learning how to drive fast.

don't compare yourself against the guys that come out every weekend, just try to improve your time and technique.

There is a club that uses the giants/jets stadium(Meadowlands Sport complex) parking lot in jersey for autocross. I went down with some friends, fun trip and the course was pretty good. Do some research and find out what club it is and go.

In my opinion race schools can be a bit of a fraud.
A friend of mine who is 20 and started racing only one year ago at the MR Challenge, is now a racing instructor at Palmer Racing School.
I don't doubt of his talent, but he was never teached by anyone more experienced and has few experience himself.
Money can't buy you friends, but you do get a better class of enemy.
