EGR is used to artificially reduce engine capacity, hence reduced fuel required for set reduced oxygen measure. The exhaust gas is generally inert and for limited usage works well. Its more common than I previously thought. Its an economy mode not a performance thing....

excuse the pic, i have a large surplus of fail pics after browsing the DEI related forums.

    No, not at all.
You cannot pawn this off on the rest of the US.
I don't even know where to begin with this guy.
    My head hurts.
    I'm angry.
I want so much to understand what he thinks an engine actually does.

That system uses a small amount of exhaust. It does not simply re-plumb the header back into the intake manifold.

    I'm so angry right now...

I do like, Top Gear. I'm not a huge fan of Jeremy bashing on Americans, but then he does that to other nations as well. such as Germany, and Mexico, and France, Japan...
No, I'm just kind of sick of no-nothing twerps making fun of Americans to make themselves feel better. I'm not sure they'd like it if people generalized the behavior of their people based on the worst examples their contry had to offer. Not that that's a problem for most of them as no one ever goes to their backwater nations...

I agree and it is a bit annoying but they at least bash on every nation a bit (even the UK itself).

Hmm... circular reasoning's a bitch. (the DEI)
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

The guy invented a perpetual motion machine. It's like the water wheel at the edge of the tank that keeps filling itself up.

Once fanboyism infects you it impares all your judgement.
It's like being drunk, you lack common sense and everyone laughs at you.

Pretty much anything OBD2 and even a lot of OBD1 stuff has EGR...

I love how "fail" is now a noun too.
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

I'm pretty sure fail has been a noun since medieval times... for example "without fail", etc.
