It's what makes Mk1 Escorts THE most sought after classic rally car and my reason for loving the little A110

Thinking back, every car I've owned has been for the "experience" and not necessarily the "performance" and certainly never the badge

Having driven both the GT3 and the GT3 RS I can tell you that the RS is worth every extra cent! It steers betterm corners better, stops better, sounds better and is in every way a better car to drive fast. Admittedly, the RS is not a comfy car on the road but then again neither is the normal GT3.

The R8 is my favorite everyday car. It also is drop dead gorgeous and attracts people like no other car including Ferrari and Lambo.

Unfortunately, I have yet to drive the 430 Scuderia but after spending a substantial amount of time both behind the wheel and in the passenger seat of a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale I would have to say this is my personal pick over and above both of the GT3s.

LandQuail, I enjoyed your post a lot. Specially this bit:

I think no. I think not.
Grey MKI MX-5 > Turboed Enzos. Anytime.

You quoted white text, therefore making it readable for everyone. Clever.

Same here. One of my best driving experiencies was when I snuck out my mom's 1972 VW Beetle and took it around the neighborhood in full anger almost 20 years ago at around 2 am. With all of 1600 cc and 50 hp, it understeered and oversteered like a champ (at probably 30 kmh, which is very good when you are still learning to drive!).

Don't know why, but later on, when I had a proper licence and had it lent to me, I was not able to replicate the feat. Probably tire pressures were very low in that run. What I did test later on was the 110 kmh top speed and that it "floated" while achieving it.
