Repainted blue first but now she is red and still is the US.

Agree, definitely a repaint. I have also seen blue, black, and yellow F40s despite the fact that all left the factory red.

I don't believe that's technically true. As I recall, the factory allowed Rosso Corsa, Rosso Barchetta, Giallo Modena, Argento Nurburgring, & Nero Daytona.
For the simple folks, Red, Dark Red, Yellow, Silver, & Black.

Now, if you look at the headlamps of any F50 besides Nero Daytona, you can tell if it's a repaint if they are black. Almost every single repainted F50 sports these black headlamps.The only repaint I know for a fact that doesn't have black headlamps is a Rosso Corsa-colored F50 on FerrariChat.

The new colors look good for the F50, although if I had to pick between a F50 or a F40, I'd pick the F40 in a heartbeat.
