however, i do have a bunch of bands i prefer listening to while driving. fall out boy, taking back sunday, and 30 seconds to mars are my current fav's. then a local band from NC that i have listened to since college called evoka. classic bush is also choice.
i shoudl qualify that, since aparently its in relation to the car.

the stuff referenced above is for the mini. in the rex i typically dont listen to anything, just the howl of the engine. but that's mainly because the radio is vintage 1981, and the tape deck doesnt work well enough to hook up my ipod through a tape adapter. in my wife's truck i always find myself listening to whatever strange band she is listening to.

I just noticed you have a point, but they do rock tits for aggressive driving.

I'm digging the Kasabian, and great find with the opening scene to The Italian Job. Hope that wasn't Miura innards that tumbled down the cliffs along with the bodywork...

    ... or Florida.

When I'm tearing up the back roads I prefer a blues rift played entirely too fast with a rock'n'roll beat:

Gov't Mule - Bad Little Doggie

Robin Trower - Little Bit of Sympathy

Rory Gallagher - Do You Read Me

Geez. A favorite song... a car to drive when I grow up...
My car would be a Holden Commodore VE SS with the songs on my soundtrack being...
all the Gran Turismo songs... they are really, really cool. Add in the Muse songs, Eskimo Joe songs, Franz Ferdinand songs and Kaiser Cheifs songs and you got yourself a deal with that Alpine.

Coming back from work on a rainy Wednesday:
    YouTube - Leonard Cohen - Chelsea Hotel#2

It's hard not to get a little misty over that one...

Heavy-footed solo run the long way across town
YouTube - RATM- Know your enemy slide show

De la Rocha, where are you when we really need you?

One of those bizarre no-point drives where the revs climb at half throttle and where a vicious flurry of revs punctuates half-hearted braking downwshifts into shallow corners:
YouTube - Chadin Stevens Video Hour #2

    Long drive home:
    YouTube - The Smashing Pumpkins - Thirty-Three
