Naw, I put on racing slicks. It's pretty damn fun out-powering Corvettes at full throttle.

In other words, I blew past a C5 at 200 m.p.h. on the Osaka highway course. Damn, that game was awesome.!!1
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Yes, and watch no one buy it.

No one will fall for a $170,000 Toyota.

So, basically, offer the customer a chassis and Toyota/Supra badges.

This is a $170K expected car. You'd have to make a sitting bare-bones chassis to get $20K for it.

I wish Toyota...or anyone...would produce an "economy" 2 door RWD car.

    Hyundai...lets see.

I hope it does. The market is missing a cheap, small RWD car.

Same with our market - the cheapest RWD sports car is the Mazda MX-5, and that's $35,000 USD here! For the 1.8!

In europe the BMW 1 and 3 series have some of that market.

I don't think that they offer them cheap enough in USA though...
Power, whether measured as HP, PS, or KW is what accelerates cars and gets it up to top speed. Power also determines how far you take a wall when you hit it
    Engine torque is an illusion.

    Cheap?
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

I think the 1 series starts at around 30k. Not cheap.

How difficult is it to make a RWD economy car...really. If the Scion Tc were RWD...hotness. RWD Eclipse? Hotness.

The 1-series is the third "least expensive" rear wheel drive car currently on sale (the first is the Smart and the second the MX-5) and the cheapest four seater RWD car in Europe.

Calling the 1-Series a four seater is a little optimistic. Unless we are talking about oompa-loompas.

Problem is, economy cars don't need to be RWD. When you've just gotta get to work or the shops, FWD is fine. What is needed is a small, cheap, RWD sports car.

Problem No. 1: You don't tell the consumers what they don't need. They tell you. First company to offer RWD small economy cars gets a high five. Where I'm from economy cars get the most modifications. FWD + performance modifications eventually approaches "pointless".

If the Civic were RWD I'd never have sold mine years ago and I'd probably own a "project Del Sol". And just think...

A ton of kids today are anti-domestic. If these kids actually had a cheap RWD platform to build on for the rest of their lives...OMG!!!! CUSTOMERS FOR LIFE!!!

I wouldn't have my Mustang today if I had had a RWD Civic with my hard earned money wasted/invested into it.

Think you missed out Problem 1a

The largest NUMBER of consumers determine the choices.

Guys hoping to buy cheap cars so they can mod them are in a very small minority
