    2003 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100

Here's what the Mustang shares daily driver duty with. I know what you're all thinking...Who?! On a Honda?! But I've always admired Honda bikes even if their cars aren't my cup of tea. The Sabre is the Shadow's performance-oriented model (I didn't know that when I bought it...) with hotter cams, low weight for an 1100cc bike, and shorter final drive gearing giving 1/4 mile times in the 13's with a good rider - small things get big really fast when I crack the throttle, so I can't argue with that. Plus, it's comfortable, reliable, handles well, and gets better than 50mpg (~4.7l/100km) on the highway. It does everything so well that that's its only fault...it kind of lacks personality. At least it has some really pretty ghost flames!

PS - the pictures don't do the paint job justice. It's really top notch - so deep you feel like you could fall into it and swim in it. In person in the setting sun, it's marvelous.

    It's a Honda.

That is its personality, to kinda blend in, but do everything well.

I'm not into bikes really, but it's still nice.

This model was actually designed to be their "hot rod" / custom look model - note the billet-look wheels - but I agree it doesn't look that different from millions of other Shadows out there.

Or stretch it...from some angles it looks less too tall than it does too "smooshed" (technical term.).

Actually I have some plans for it, but I don't know if the parts for them are made, so plans stay secret for now
