    Stuff you wish you knew about intake manifolds

    This article is targeted towards my car, but the principles that are described in it apply to all vehicles. I thought it was a good read.

    I think it was this past month's Hot Rod magazine that compared different performance manifolds, and compared them stock vs ported. Definitely a good read.
    On one of the race cars, we swapped manifolds, and picked up 3 tenths in the 1/4.

    Worthless information:

    Stock 2.2 Ecotec intake manifold+Nitrous Oxide=Lots of little pieces of plastic.

    All I know is that to beat a Buggati Veyron with a VW Jetta I sandblast the engine through the intake manifold.

    Oh hai, are you guise talking about Rob Cohen's groundbreaking documentary on street-racing "The Fast & the Furious"? Cuz my buddy just bought an eclipse and he's wondering where he can get a 7 speed transmission. Also, what program is it that says "DANGER TO TEH MANIFOLD!"?
