Living just south of the Pocono mountains, there are some very fun roads near me. Most of them are 2 way, 2 lane, unmarked, with little to no traffic. The kind of roads where you're more worried about hitting wildlife than another car. I love roads.

..and there are even more very nice roads here in the alps.... you will never get bored, but you'd better have a Lotus or an other lightweight car for all these sharp corners...

My own "local" bit of driving nirvana has to be the A686 "Alston Road" from Hexham to Penrith in the North of England. Over 30 miles of high-altitude twisting and turning through the countryside.
Alas, can't find many pictures; it seems it's not quite as popular as Stelvio!

I was always fond of Highway 1/Pacific Coast Highway when I lived in CA. Twisty lovers in the SF Bay also enjoyed Skyline Blvd. (CA 35) and Morgan Territory Road.
