There is photographic evidence that I was travelling at close to the speed limit. The reports of Chris finding the speed limiter on my car are somewhat exaggerated though.
Not sure what Daan's excuse is for having a five minute head start on us and still being passed long before Phillip Island by a grand-dad driving a bogan mobile at a sedate pace.

I don't think it was for sale.

If it had the keys in it though...I think shenanigans would have been in order.

EDIT: and Slick, I should really ban you for your first lot of photos. it violates the gentleman's agreement.

You mean the Honda Civic driven by a 69 year old pensioner?.

I guess it was safer then being driving by You Chris and Myself. that's bad for me i didn't even have Chris in the car to egg me on.

I thought that was a Daan Sam thing.. On the other hand i do need a days brake.

This could make it up look Pro in action. I didn't see you snap that one i was deep in though.

I'm not sure about it but was under the impression that car (or one very much like it ) is Goss's original Bathurst XA and not a replica

Apparantly the original bodyshell was destroyed. This car does have the original mechanicals with a different bodyshell. Guess that makes it half a replica/half original.

Thanks man and you'd never guess who was trackside in '74 watching the Goose get his first Bathurst win in that very car .. scary isn't it?

(whats even worse is I qualify for the APIA pensioner discount from tommorow)

Fwiw, for anyone who wants to hear the XA's Cleveland rumble, it along with Goss features @ exactly the 7 minute mark into this youtube

Cheers for the info. It was featured in a previous AMC magazine, which I haven't looked at recently
