    Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart

Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart - Ultimatecarpage.com - Images, Specifications and Information

Mitsubishi should have been making this car for years. While they were competing with Subaru with EVO against the WRX STi, Subaru had the ~AUD$40,000 market sown up with the WRX. If Mitsubishi can price this the same as the new WRX (or whatever it's called in other markets now), Subaru haven't got a chance.

I agree, it seemed like a logical development. It's probably going to be a big hit for an otherwise pretty much unkown model here.

Have you had non-STi WRXs there?

Yup. In fact we had WRXs before we had STIs. I guess Subaru saw the Evo had a market and decided to bring the STI here. Now it's the other way round, Mitsubishi has seen the WRX has a market so they've decided to make their own. And the hatch is going to be an even better seller here, probably.

An Evolution 4 door hatch would be real cool. It would be awesome to pit it against the STI. Too bad the STI wouldn't come in a sedan form. I think the sedan form looks great. The hatch form looks like ass. Still aggressive, but nothing compared to previous versions.

    The Lancers, however look amazing.

so is this basically replacing the previous Lancer EVO 260? would seem like it. I would guess theres quite a big market for people who want an evo but dont want to spend all the cash and the insurance on the full models. As you said 2CC WRX buyers will now have to think twice.

What I like most about this Lancer Ralliart is that unlike the previous one, this actually has power. The Ralliart finally provides a competitor to the WRX, and bridges the gap between the standard Lancer and the outrageous Evo. They should've done this a while ago.
i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.
