Lancia Stratos spotted in an Isuzu Garage!?!?

Was walking back from town earlier and spotted this little beauty all wrapped up in amongst a load of Isuzu trucks. The pics are from my phone and through a window so excuse the quality. Not sure if it's an original but from what i could make out it is an absolute minter. Gonna try and get back there when they re-open after the easter holidays and see if i can have a better look. First time i've ever seen one so i'm a happy (easter) bunny.

According to the DVLA website it's definitely the genuine article, not a replica. First registered 31.8.1979.

It looks like Group 4 car. Or at least with racing parts in it.

    Nice finding.

Wow. I've seen one of these only once before. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depends how you view it) I was in the alps and standing by the side of the road while our old banger let off some steam. Something came blatting round the corner and shockingly it was a bloody Stratos. I didn't have a camera ready and I've never seen one since

Hawk cars do replica kits of these that use the Alfa V6 engines. One day I'd love to build one.

    How strange!

    I work at a Subaru/Isuzu dealer, we've got a 1 of 1 Jensen Interceptor with a 7.3 V8 in it!

    Something about Isuzu garages?!

Sorry to dampen your spirits, checked it on the Insurance database and it says it's a Hawk - quick googe search and i'm thinking Kit Car

EAM193V is on the Motor Insurance Database today

    Vehicle Make/Model: Lancia Stratos Hawk

HPI check throws it up as a Lancia beta.

The summary vehicle description is supplied by the DVLA
    for registration number EAM193V
    Make
    LANCIA
    Model
    BETA 1600

its got a load of, what looks like, 'Wurth' stickers on it. Whether that means its been rebuilt/refurbished? It aslo has a a BRDC logo. I'm definately gonna enquire about it. not sure of they're open tommorrow, but i'm gonna stroll down the road and see.

being wrapped doesnt mean anything, it could've just had a lot of work done on it and its waiting to be collected to be driven the b*ll*cks off of it. here's hoping anyway. (aswell as hoping to get a ride)

My money is on it being a replica.
I think i might have seen it at a show before. Also, the entry level Stratos replica from Hawk can be Lancia Beta based. Which explains why it comes up as a Beta in database checks.

If it says "Hawk" then it's the kit version.
Still can go like a bat out of hell ... but unlikely to find the Ferrari engine in the back

If its registered as a 1600 beta, wouldn't that suggest it has that engine?
