Take you picks! 2008 NHL Playoffs

For all the hockey fans out there, what are you picks for the playoffs. Who do you think will go all the way?

I think this will be a great second season, it's great to see Washington got in as well. Ovechkin in the playoffs will be something to see. Although in my opinion it'll be the teams with the most depth the go this year. The Canadiens, and the Sharks look to be my picks. It would be nice to see Detroit do something as well, but this seems rather unlikely.

    Your thoughts?

I'm going with the Habs. The Capitals are the team to watch IMO.

I'm hoping the Canadiens will claim back the Stantley Cup after 15 years. That 1992-93 season seems so far away... although I was a Nordiques fan back then.

If Montreal even makes it past the first round the city will go nuts. It's incredible, I mean if you got a chance to watch the last Toronto vs Montreal game the place was going through the roof! Those core teams have some fans I tell you....

I'm gonna go with the Penguins this year even though Crosby and Ovechkin have little playoff experience.

I wouldn't mind the Habs winning just because it would be nice to see a Canadian team win. But it would be great for the Pens to win because I love the fact that they use young quick players.

Speaking as the resident near-Washingtonian: LET'S GO CAPS!

We were at the bottom of the league in November, the only place to go is up. In all honesty, I'll be very suprised if they make it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals, but I do expect them to at least make it past the first round; Philadelphia's going down. As Coach Boudreau has said in the past, it all comes down to how badly they want it. If they keep playing like they have been recently, it should be a very exciting postseason for Caps fans.

I would love to see Anaheim vs Montreal in finals. I hope this is the year for Canadiens.

There are 16 teams in the playoffs though... and 15 entries maximum in a poll.

EDIT: I added one with 15 entries, only the Nashville Predators are missing...

    That would be ridiculously funny

Just post a big Nashville Predators logo if it's your pick... as long as the logo doesn't exceed 800 pixels in width!

I wish!! Tickets are ridiculously expensive for the home games, and sold out months before. Ive only been down to 1 pre-season game this season.

This is Montreal's year. I mean ...Did you see that 5-0 comeback against the Rangers to win it 6-5? LEGENDARY!!
