Quick trivia on a Formula 1 car...

    Hi there.
I'm looking for a Formula 1 car of the late nineties or even later, which had double lateral air intakes, sort of like those on the new McLaren MP4-12C road car.
It should be a Jordan, I think it was designed by Mike Gascoigne, so it could even be a Benetton-Renault, but my guess is Jordan.

    Anyone can help?
Obviously I'm trying with google and others but with poor results.

    Thanks.

I may have a cookie or two for the winner.

Do you mean the same swoop or just that there were two "openings" ?

THere were lots of F1s in the 80s with OUTLets along the sidepod just behidn the main inlet... Lotus 100T comes to mind ... McLaren MP4/6

But these were because at that time the radiators sat at the front of the pods on most.
Brabhma did it with the outlet on top of the pod and sometimes had extra slots cut along the sides.

Can't think of any with "swoopy" twin inlets as there's less need than the new Mac has.

Can you try for a better outline for us ?

Sorry, any of those right now.
    I guess I didn't express myself properly.
What I mean is a design similar to that visible in die cast model at this page, even if it isn't how the Prost AP01 actually was, as you can see in the picture:
    [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prost_AP01]Prost AP01 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

Both the Lotus T100 and the McLaren MP4-6 are different from what I meant.
The car I'm looking for has two air entries in the side pods, instead of the usual larger one. Very similar to this:

meaning those in front of the rear wheels.
Or at least they are similar in my mind.

I can't say if they were actually two different air intakes or just the main one split in the middle.

It was a recent car, no more than 15 years ago as I said.

PS the 18 mb file doesn't download itself, at about 50% the download stops.

It might not be a Jordan, as the only one I found up to now is the 196, which isn't what I was thinking of.

I can only think of the '96 Jordan and the Benneton'99. I remember on my old GPM2 manager game from 1996 you could steal that technology from Jordan or develop it yourself. What a game.

No idea what the advantage was, obviously there was none! Think cars used to run double vanes also.
