I started to sand and buff the car tonight. The paint was looking rough and I was bored so I started sanding with 1200 on a da. I then used Presta ultra cutting creme, then on to chroma polish, then swirl remover. So far it looks like glass. I got about half way done in about 4 hours, so I'll definitely be done tomorrow, pics to come.

I haven't gotten any pics yet of it fully clean yet. I've been doing work here and there on the car and haven't gotten a chance to get it all cleaned up. I sold my galaxy so I'll be buying some new wheels for the chevelle. I'm leaning towards some 15x8 chrome rally wheels like this:

Not enough balls with the current engine and/or something will break. I did just get a chevy 400 for it though so some DR's might be in its future...muhahaha.

Well the car is away for storage. I'll tackle the new power plant sometime this winter. It'll be getting new rings, pistons (high compression), cam, lifters, valve job, carb and intake. I'm also leaning towards body color painted steelies instead of the chrome ones.

Does this mean you're keeping it?

    Until I sell it.
The car smokes like a freight train right now and kept getting worse and worse. There prolly isn't a ring left in it so it would need to get rebuilt anyways.

Is there still the possibilty of getting the '70 4spd?
Or does that wait 'til you sell this?

Thats out of the question now. I'm trying to get my own place and pay off my tool and truck loan. So that is on the back burner. I'm afraid that this chevelle will go back there too when I get my new pad.

Enough, I made some money on it. In this economy I'm lucky someone is willing to buy it.
