    Unknown Small Ford Wagon/Hatch

    Hi guys,

I just saw an odd car this morning, and I'm trying to find out what it is. It was a 5-door wagonette-thingy, simillar in concept to the old school Impreza. This was definately a Ford or a Mazda; like a Corsair/Telstar; and looked like it came from the early 90s.

Would you guys happen to know what it is?

    Thanks.

There was a laser wagon, wasn't there? Or was it more steeply angled in the back? Was was that 'sporty' version of the laser called? Laser Lynx? Something like that.

Was it actually a 5-door hatch or a wagon? And I can't figure out what similarity to an old-school Impreza you are talking about. Any more details?
I can suppose now it could be a Festiva/Aspire - a rebadged Kia Avella, but I don't see any similarities to Subaru.

The bag between the c-pillar and the d-pillar is bigger than that of a hatch, but smaller than a proper wagon. The only simillarity between this unknown car and the Impreza is that concept - the rear cargo area is smaller than that of a proper estate, but bigger than that of a hatch.

Then maybe it's Laser indeed, like pimento said?

Aspire seems more hatchback-like than a wagon.

Is there a reason no one's mentioned Escort?
I'll assume it doesn't fit the bill, just throwin' it out there.

Maybe a Ford Corsair Hatch, a mildy facelifted rebadge of the locally built FWD Nissan Pintara Superhatch?
