That wasn't supposed to happen! Shit. Ok. Germany Netherlands. But knowing my luck Russia will beat the Netherlands. Arshavin's back for Russia and he's jolly good.

Hopefully it'll be a repeat of World War II without the deaths.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

    Your luck ???!!

Russia doesn't have as many awesome talents as Netherlands does.

There's only question I have. How do the Dutch play such good football? They're out there making their opponents look like amateurs.

True, but it'll come down to a tactical battle between Hiddink and Van Basten. I think Van Basten is one of the best managers in the game today and I'd be happy to have him replace Sir Alex at Man Utd when he retires. On the other hand Guus is so experienced and just is successful wherever he goes which is a quality very very few managers have. Its going to be interesting.

They follow in the model of their idol, Johan Cruijf.

    They are also tall.

The colour orange is a performance enhancer for them.

    Etc.

Schnijder is 1.65, van der vaart 1.75....

Short footballers are taking over. Alot of the best in the world are these short nimble play makers, Moutinho, Rooney, Van der Vaart, Messi, etc. But you'll always have some height at the back I hope!

They spell their names the English way here sometimes, it pisses me off.

Isn't van Nistelrooy actually van Nistelrooij? It used to be apparently.

As for the metric heights, unfortunately, that hasn't caught on in Canada and we still use the king's measurements - all I know is those van der Saar is tall.

Funnily enough, the Dutch aren't the tallest team at Euro, even though they are the tallest nation in the World (I think). I looked at the Euro 2008 site and they had all sorts of charts by age and height etc and the Netherlands were only decently tall, not the tallest.

    I was saddened.

Czech republics average height would be the highest even if the rest of the team were midgets just because of Jan Koller! He's just so huge its ridiculous.
