the only concept that has been close to being a NSX was the Honda HSC. The new NSX concept looks like crap. the orignial nsx was hailed as the japanese supercar because it was midengined and use lightweight for speed. if the new one is a FR 2+2 then it wouldn't be a NSX, maybe a super Accord or prelude but not a NSX

Mid engined had nothing to due with it, that jsut helped with it's balance.

The NSX was known for handling, low price (next to a Ferrari) and it's performance against said competition. It was also one of the first cars with an aluminium body. The NSX never had to be midengined, and being an NSX doesn't mean having a midengine.

Er, NSX = Midengined, ergo, its attributes have to do with it being mid engined. if you remove that, everything else goes out the window.

That car looked awesome. They could have just produced it and it would have been perfect. Everyone would have been happy.

Instead, they have to promote their dumb SH-AWD concept.

i agree!!!!!! the way it was shafted, it kinda diserves to keep its name as a memory of somthing that was great... somthing unique... somthing very special

to be honest here kids... i liked the old NSX and even though it was "old" cant understand for the life of me why the hell honda stopped making it?

No one was buying it anymore. Engineering feat aside, it wasn't that well marketed.

and it was like 13 years old..with only updates that's a long shelf life for a sports car with modest power (excellent dynamics aside)

This and the LF-A, design wise, both look like they could have came out in the 90's for the most part. I'm uninspired.
You could in fact be correct. Is there anything in those pictures that missed that make it a Honda, apart from Auto Express saying it is?

Past Honda NSX cars have been so great that it doesn't really matter if the new NSX is the worst car ever or is as ugly as a donkey's butt.
