From now on I'm gonna pray to the Car God in every spare moment I get that that isn't the new NSX. Just please.

The mid-engined layout of the the previous NSX has gone though, replaced by a front-mid positioned unit for better weight distribution. This setup has also allowed Honda to squeeze two rear seats into the NSX, widening its appeal.
While I understand they want to 'widen its appeal', they totally lost the spirit of the original car. "Hey, let's make a front-engined 5-seater as the next Ferrari supercar to replace the Enzo Ferrari..."

looks a lot like the LF-A.
This and the LF-A, design wise, both look like they could have came out in the 90's for the most part. I'm uninspired.

You could in fact be correct. Is there anything in those pictures that missed that make it a Honda, apart from Auto Express saying it is?

Is just a test mule for the engine and drivetrain from what I've heard, hopefully the new NSX won't look like that at all. Mid-engine is only a dream right now, most likely it won't happen.

Hopefully... the Accord-on-steroids looks doesn't do anything for me.

If it's front engined, don't call it an NSX.

I have to agree on that one... or if it weighs more than 3000lbs for that matter. Keep doing whatever you're doing but give it a different name.

I agree too. I don't think it looks bad, but its not an NSX. I'm happy with Honda making a new sporty car, but come on now. Call it a Prelude or something.

It needs a manual transmission, low weight and good looks, then Honda can do whatever else they like and it'll be fine. Sure call it an NSX

NSX name + Front (mid) Engine + 4 seats (2+2 or whatever) = a 3 part recipe for making fail-sauce.

Sure it'll be a fine car, but one with no lineage, Honda/Acura badge aside, to the NSX.

So now the S2000-based mule has been replaced with the actual car.

I hate the stacked exhausts though.
