    The New Dodge Challenger

When i first saw the new Dodge Challenger I thought that it was really ugly but now I am starting to like it more. What you guys think about it? Also in the picture I think it looks better with those aftermarket rims and the black color.

I'm not a fan of classic styling, and it seems to be more of a step backward.

Its better than some retro designs, but still doesn't look quite right. The back look especially odd (slightly 80's).

The design is fine. I'd drive the piss outta one, to be sure. What I don't like is the black wheels with polished lip- that's SO over done anymore...

It's gone back a few decades in styling terms, but I like it.

It looks good, but it's a bit too big.

all these new retro cars manage to look so bloated compared to the originals

That's my thought too, clutch-monkey, it looks bloated. The original musclecars, even if they were a little heavy, looked lean and powerful, this one is a little like a boat.

Some other cars did not work out well I think. For example the Camaro changed completely over the years and to me they don't look similar at all. I think that if car manufactures want to bring back a car they should literally remake the car.

Well the problem is the Camaro, like the Mustang, changed a lot over the years as you say. As a result the retro-recreation version have cues of the classic version but don't look exactly like them.

On the other hand the Challenger lived a short life during which wasn't changed drastically. That makes a retro version much easier to make, just like happened with the Mini or the Volkswagen New Beetle.
