Well i thought i might post a little update. All i have done recently is put the bushes in the wishbones, have the diff steam cleaned and the flywheel lightened. Seriously it's damn hard building a car in your GCSE year, i have done so little to the car!! I can't wait to finish me GCSE's because i am going to be up there every day!!

    At least SOME progress
It will be finished by the time your exams are finished and jsut in time for some ersious trackdays !!!
We're rebuilding the BDA for mates Stryker tonight ( for the third time ), so it's going to be some serious times as he was already shaming some expensive hardware with the 1300 x-flow

I aim to finish by October, since that is when i am 17. I havn't been to see it in at least 3-4 months though so i dread to see what it is like. I hope its ok! The other day i went to see a guy who is building a locost from scratch. He is a superb fabricator and has done the entire chassis from stainless steel, it is quite something!!

Right. A gloriously long weekend has meant that i can do more to my car so i have a load of pictures to give you guys.
Right the first three are of the side panels, i took them to show how the panel bends in to match the lines of the chassis, this isn't a common feature on Sevens and i though it looks very nice. The fourth photo is of the interior panels.

Th first two here are of the rear suspension, and the last two or the front (unfinished), the two green circles are drawn for a reason, i've named this mount, the mount from hell, it was so hard to get that bolt in. At the points i marked the bolt is touching the side panel!! One panel had to be bent to let the bolt through.

Finally the last three, the first two are of the of the steering arm, unfortunatly (as the second photo shows) the brake pipes are in the way a bit!! The last photo has some panels taped into place to make it look cool! lol

    It's looking good.
See you're having the usual kit car issues - how badly mangled are your fingers/knuckles ?

More Photos, front suspesion finished, Diff mounted, rear wishbones are the wrong ones!! The first pictures are of the front suspension completed (minus having the bolts tightened), the diff mounted, and my wheels. I don't know if i have told you about them, they are 16" Compomotive CXR's with Yokohama directional racing tires on, and they were only £150 for four, second hand with 5mm of tread left!

Last two photos show the dreadful news of the wishbones being the wrong type!! With the halfshafts pushed right into the diff they stick out from the hub carriers about an inch!!! This is because the wishbones i have are for the Luego Velocity, but i ordered the Velocity XT because it meant that i didn't have to shorten the halfshafts. Sorry about the picture quality but its hard to take a decent picture with such a good camera, crouched down with one hand!
