The rubber on the steering wheel is epic.

    Hahahaha.
I was going to take it off, but it does add some grip, so I'll take it off when it's too worn to do anything about

I MIGHT be getting my new stereo equipment tomorrow...

Damn, you look like some rich '80's yuppie pimp.

But as someone who grew up with a similar car in the family, watch out for the Three-Pointed Star mounted on the hood.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

I was glad to find it still on the car. Most Mercs I've looked at have had the damn thing missing

    Ahhh....It's started again

First the car, then the accessories.

As for your vehicle.....Other than the fact the respray looks fairly obvious, It looks reasonably well kept & will certainly suffice for first car transport.

    Kudos.

My first spend after purchase of an old car is always directed towards maintenance & repair, addressing previously neglected issues & bringing the car back into a good servicable condition ... eg transmission 1st, tweeters 2nd

We're going to change the engine and transmission oil within the next 1,000 miles.

The radio antenna does not raise, so I'm going to get a new one, but it's $12

I'm still against the sub & amp idea, but it's your money, and more importantly, your car.

I'm going to try to hide them as well as I can.
It's just the sound quality I want. I don't want the ridiculous, trunk rattling bass

The speakers I have are great, but I just want more depth and clarity.

The US spec ones are terrible looking, I know.
I'm going to get the Euro ones which look a lot cleaner and nicer.
