Hows about a cheapo Peugeot 206? I've heard that these can be quite fun and dirt cheap.

VW GTI? I've got a funny feeling that there's quite a few of these buzzing around Europe.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

I've tried a 206 before and had real problems with the pedals due to my massive feet, so they're out of the question.

I'm not too sure on this one insurance wise, but a W124 Merc would be brilliant.
Me being 6' 4" can drive it quite comfortably, and I quite like how the pedals are situated

    - Yeah, I was going to suggest a mk1 Focus, but really decent ones are usually more expensive than £2,000.
    - Puma 1.7 sounds good
    - I'm not so keen on 206s either, unless you go to the top end of the model, I have big troubles with the pedals and the gearboxes I've tried sucked. the 1.6 XSi I loved.
    - There is currently a red 3dr P-reg (1998) Audi A3 SE 1.8 for sale at the local garage for a touch under £2,000
    - Thinking about it, you could get a LandRover Freelander Soft-Top 1.8i/2.0TD4 for £2k

as far as I understand that will make his insurance go through the roof....hence I suggested a 2CV. He could also contact our famous Alto driver......

I've checked Auto Trader and there are Clio Williams for under £2000.

    Interesting.

How about bicycle? Or public transport?

I mean, if the money is an issue to you and you hardly use the current car, then why bother?

probably all their engines would be too big for th insurance issue. apart from the Civic 1,6 liter, but as he said for the Fiesta, all of them are usually tunned heavily. damn ricers.

for as regards the Rover, there was a 1,6 liter version too. basically a Civic coupè, but more easy to find untunned.
