Mansory takes over the Rinspeed tuning activities

Frank Rinderknecht has provided the world with several very interesting project cars during the past decade, the last one being the submarine car...
His "other" activities consisted of the tuning of Porsches, a department now sold to Mansory, effective from the the first of November 2008.
Personally I think this is a good move, as the "green" activities of Rinspeed somehow conflicted with the raw tuning of already not so eco-friendly cars. Hopefully the deal will provide him with sufficient cash to continue his "green" stuff, where he excels.
As far as Mansory is concerned, this is one of the many German tuning companies, and certainly not the most subtle one. Their renderings of Bentleys and Aston Martin are debatable at best.....

Mansory has tuned a car from outside britain... that's the 599...

My problem there is that mansory is not good in the asthetics department...

I don't know if you'll agree with me... but look at these pics of the 599 and slr tuned by mansory
    Everything ends at 666...

Not good is a bit of an understatement.

I'd say they are completely hopeless.

I loved rinespeeds creative cars. The creation of cars that we didn't even know we needed is both a comic relief, and something to awe about. Will rinespeed still be making mad cars?

Like Sledgehammer i like the lunacy of Rinspeed.
I hope all their weird concepts dont turn into ugly spoilers and bodykits.

One can only hope that there are in fact no takers for these horrific eyesores & that they remain pixels on some designers screen.

to build them is to gaze into hell itself.

Interestingly I took this shot at the 2007 Geneva Motorshow....don't get fooled, because from another angle you can see the words Mansory on the Roller's license plate...

In the end it's still an ostentatious excessive vehicle thats been "Pimped" out.

Seriously, was the paint just a low gloss or actually Matte Black?
