    Not sooners enough.

Why are they called the Sooners?

Because the covered wagons used to cross the plains were called "prarie sooners" because of their white canvas tops.

It means that Oklahoma plays Missouri (Who lost to Oklahoma State) for the Big 12 championship. If they win they play the winner of the Alabama/Florida game for the national title. Yesterday Oklahoma was tied for first place with Texas and Texas Tech. Since Oklahoma crushed Texas Tech who beat Texas, who earlier beat the Sooners, and last nights epic win against Oklahoma State, the BCS rankings swinged in their favor. It's your textbook epic win.

It could be a bastardization of that, or I could be talking out of my ass.
    I'll check.

    That's a scooner.
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

I was at Arrowhead Stadium (where the Big 12 Championship is played) the last time the Sooners were in it. They played my team, K-State, and we did work on them... All that aside, I did watch the OU/OSU game and it was pretty much one of the best football games I've ever seen. Even if you don't like either team, such as myself, you have to admin it was pretty epic.

What do Gators and Sooners have in common with a sandcastle?

A woman goes to the doctor to figure out why she is having breathing problems...The doctor tells her she is overweight. She says she wants a second opinion...the doctor says, "your ugly".
