    (Wales) Rally GB 2008

Nice to see WRC aren't trying to rip folsk off to listen to the live radio and see the live split times and stage times
Been interesting following the debacles so far !!!
World Rally Championship - Rallies -

    World Rally Championship - feature

THe organisers own page provides similar

Ther "Stage flash" are interesting ... Wales Rally GB : News
    "3: Mikko Hirvonen/Jarmo Lehtinen
“I’ve got a big job to do now, but I’ll still try. The engine isn’t pulling as it should since the roll.”"

For me, the neatest thing and F1 woudl do well to copy is the "Notice Board". All the stewards reports and penalties are being posted in near real time. Given the mess F1 stewards seem to make over things that are so simple, it woudl be a nice addition for the fans

    eg see http://www.walesrallygb.com/document...ision_No_4.PDF

Loeb's just won the third stage so the results is a foregone conclusion I reckon

And to have my usual greip about "Wales" GB Rally ..... they cancelled two stages because of "ice" !!! In the days of the PROPER British Rally we used to enjoy the onset of ice and snow and freezing fog to seperate the boys from the men. Now just not as good

I agree, cancelling stages because of ice is ridiculous.

    New a Finn would agree

    Loved this flash bulletin ....
    "20: Barry Clark/Paul Nagle
“I’ve gone soft! I need to get back to Aberdeen and toughen up! That was just so rough.”"

Came across some interesting numbers from last season.
    Each event averaged 51million viewers.
The 2007 season had a total of 816 million "viewers".
    F1 look out

the only thing undecided was the marque championship, now that Hirvonen is out of contention, it will not depend on Mr. Sordo to keep things together...

it's like rolling start in F1 when it rains. I mean, it could be unsafe, but they are supposedly the best in the world for that kind of stuff, it's their job (let alone they are even payed). if they think it's too risky, they just have to slow down, and we would see who is the best. pointless decisions.

Lauda withdrew from the last race and lost the title. I'm not a fan of him, but I preferred that to the fake races we see nowadays.

    Great rallying.

Surprised to hear that the WRC had 51 million viewers an event - that is similar to F1.

News flash: Subaru World Rally Team crew Chris Atkinson and Stephane Prevot rolled in stage seven, Walters Arena. The car subsequently caught fire. Neither crew member is seriously injured, but they are undergoing precautionary medical checks.

I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

I wouldnt be surprised if all the changes are as a result of skyrocketing insurance premiums and other liabilities on the organisers behalf.
