haha, speaking of tacky i am reminded of the 512..
i don't really think older ferrari's like the 456 and 246 are 'too much'.

didn't know that, i thought 930 was just the generation name like 964, 993 etc etc
it does make sense given the different model names they had then like 911 SC, 3,2 carrera etc
guess i never really looked into it.
edit: aaah i should have known.. i have raced with a 934 before.

if i wanted speed and to hell with aesthetics i'd buy a caparo T1 or a Radical or some such.

No offense dude... but we're talking about "Ferrari"... Not Caparo and Radical...
    Everything ends at 666...

    what?
ferrari's are not just about performance. how can you pose in an ugly car? lol.
if it was all about track performance, there are far better options..

    Battista Pininfarina disagrees with you.

Choosing a Ferrari can be tricky. Choose the wrong one and you look like a cock, choose the right one and the consierges will open the doors for you.

930 was the internal code given to the original 911 Turbo, just like the 944 Turbo is the 951.

very easy to do the former but trickier to do the latter it seems...

ah i see. it just seemed analogous to the generation number; listed as such in used car ads i mean.

Knew it. But his surname was changed officially by the Italian Republic.

that's right, since everyone called him just Pinin Farina.
by that, our Prime Minister should be called "The Thief" though.

Ferrer, what Ferraris don't make you look like a cock?

I think you'd have to drive a pre-1980s one, even then though, I think the image of the wealthy is that of the prick.

250 GT Lusso, and if it is too old, I would go for the 612, and if this is too recent, I would go for the 456M.
    something smaller? 355.
something bigger but not 4 seats? 550/575M. or the 599 itself, with the right rims though.

And then there's the whole Testarossa line.

Which should be avoided at all costs.

A modern Ferrari that doesn't make you look like a twat? The 456 definitely.

exactly. although like leon, i think sometimes there's something oddly compelling about the 512TR. but i dunno if this feeling would continue if i had to drive one in daylight in public.
