    Y12 Results

Is there anyone else here that did the HSC this year?

If so what were your results?

    Mine are:
    Chemistry 87/100,
    English 71/100,
    Maths 2U 87/100,
    Maths 3U 38/50,
Personal Development, Health and Personal Education 73/100,
    Physics 79/100.

Anyone else in another Australian State, post your results if you want.

i'm in what's called Operations Analysis. Essentially you take statistics, calculus, computer programming, modeling and simulation, and combine it all to run determine the potential outcomes of events. use this information to develop systems, decide budget allocation, and determine proper courses of action.

    confused? me too.

military history is part of professional education. standard for this point of my career, and not affected by my masters.

Zytek, Maths 3U is an extension course that is only worth 1 unit. Every unit in the HSC has 50 marks, so 2 unit subjects have 100 marks. The test for the 3 Unit Maths was actually out of 84 (7x12 mark questions), while the 2 Unit Maths was out of 120 (10x12 mark questions).

Its not equivalent to the SATs, as it is run by the NSW Department of Education, though the marks are used by a different group to give you a UAI (University Admissions Index) which is just a rank for the people in NSW doing the HSC (Higher School Certificate), which Uni's use to determine what courses people are eligible to do.

A woman goes to the doctor to figure out why she is having breathing problems...The doctor tells her she is overweight. She says she wants a second opinion...the doctor says, "your ugly".

We all have a semseter to go.

AFAIK all australian state schools have their holidays split into four quaters,
Six weeks break over xmas/new year, two over april, two over june or july, then I think another two in september.

Then from there uni holidays are retarded and last for months at a time.
