somebody take the worlds richest leprechaun to any NASCAR race and then hit him across the nose with a rolled up newspaper and say "NO; Bad Bernie"
We will never again get to enjoy a flat 12 ferrari roaring along side a Cosworth V8 and Turbo V6, but we have to draw the line somewhere, or else we are going to be looking at the MOST expensive of the Spec series...

I nabbed these off of a Ferrari forum.
They're kinda interesting. The difference in dimensions is actually pretty astonishing.

Just saw a program on tv, Ferrari covered 500 wet km at Mugello, without issues apart from excursions. McLaren has a problem on Hamilton's car (a malfunctioning sensor of the engine), while Timo Glock lost its first engine after a few laps (the whole team can use up to 4 engines in the whole pre-season tests).

There are delays in the production of the Tata Nano, so they could not deliver a safety car on time.

If they can do that to the Mercedes then they've got a safety car.

ING has just announced that it will reduce its F1 budget by 40%.

With Bernie pushing hard for a race in India soon, reckon he would have reimbursed Renault for hiring Adam Khan?

Oh and thoughts on the proposed medal system? I am undecided, point scoring is universal in motor sport. If gold medals become the only way to win the world championship it could work well in terms of fighting for wins.

On the issue of the medal system, it's interesting to see how the medal system would have altered F1 history had it been in place from the beginning...

    Formula One Medals

Certain greats like Clark, Senna, Prost and Mansell would have had an extra title or two to their name. Drivers like Rosberg, Piquet and Lauda would have had some or all of their titles taken away from them. One name that really stands out is Didier Pironi; not a name that comes up often in the lists of great F1 drivers, but he would have been world champion in 1982 instead of Rosberg.

Now there's a report out that claims a new team, tentatively called USF1, will bring F1 back to the states and have an all-American driving team. They want to be on the grid in 2010 and the rumour is that the F1 leadership is excited about this team.

I would like to see an American team with American drivers in the sport - I think it'd be really interesting to see if the whole "Made in America" idea works, and if they do well how F1 catches on in America. If F1 had an American world championship contender or if an American won the title, it could do wonders for the sport economically and in terms of viewership and popularisation in the US.

Here is the scoop care of Autoblog.

The problem is that there isn't an American who could win the title, yet.
