    Summernats - Canberra - 2009

The twenty first Summernats passed early this january, And with it came the annual UCP Summernats meetup.

Basically this event is about V8's (though a few rotors, fours and sixes do mix it up) doing what they were built for - Cruising. EPIC (Exhibition Park In Canberra) sets up a show and shine in the middle of a track, while the guys that wish to show their wares driving can do so on a parade circut around the grounds.

This year we went on a saturday, and were greeted by what felt like a larger crowd than the year before. Saturday - being the family day - the drivers and girls were restrained in their actions, which was different to whats on offer on the sunday, where the events turn to a much more.. 'primal' and basic tendancy of drivers and spectators.. burnouts, beer and boobs.

I hope you enjoy the photos, and I think IB4R and 2ndCC should be dropping some photos in here at some point.
