    Williams (F1-2009) FW31

    New Williams F1 car for the 2009 season, presented here in an interim livery. The new colour scheme will be revealed in around a month's time.

    it's quite clearly dark blue. Looks neater than the Renault, but no point reading into it, they'll all look different again by the time the first race comes around.

    Its going to be pretty hard to change the shape of the general sidepods and engine cover.

    Hard to tell what's going on with that design covered in the dark color.

    So how do F1 cars get traction in the wet? I see they use treaded tires but I can't imagine that helping with them being so light. I guess they could just go slower but might as well cancel the whole thing if that's the case.

    The aero helps load up the tyres and put some heat into them. The tyres are extremely soft as well.

    yeah, when you see them disintegrate when run in the dry you can see how soft they really are. they need to stay cool to remain together, so they have to run on the wet line.
