You've just described the Continental here.

Certainly not as nice. Much nicer than the Roller.

And you don't need the menace. You've got a Bentley.

The Arnage was bit like a four door Aston V8 Vantage (the proper one).

Well isn't the Continental just a prettied up Audi A8/VW Phaeton?

The latter (which is a different car to the former).

How is it nicer? What's your love affair with the Arnage all about?

It's everything a Bentley should be. Big, powerful, heavy. Very, very british indeed. The interior is pure luxury.

Where the Rolls feels excessive and out of place, the Bentleys feels just right. In the Rolls you show up at the Oscars, in the Bentley you cross countries at 170mph.

    It's a proper gentleman's express.

Even if you're not a Bentley fan, or even if you don't particularly like British cars, you have to be sad to see the last true Bentley with the 6.75 litre V8 go. End of an era.

I guess, but it's not 6.75 L anymore, and they have turbocharged it for some time have they not?

What is the next engine gonna be then?

No confirmation of engine from Wiki.

This makes me sad. When I first started getting into cars and actually looking into information about them, about 10 years ago, the Bentley was one of the ones I fell in love with. At the time it was the Continental SC but I always liked the Arnage too. It is tastefully classy and awesomely powerful. I still remember the first (and I think only) time I have ever seen one on public roads. It was something special. Sad to see it go, though. I also remember the Arnage's short cameo in the movie Children of Men. Epic scene, it fit so well and especially with King Crimson playing.
