    My GT9-R on Nürburgring Shooting

I did a few Photos at the Nürburgring while a shooting with the GT9-R.

We drove the way to the Nürburgring with this car and also back. So I was about 8 hours in the GT9-R ... It was amazing. I loved the faces of the people looking at the car on the motorway. Also a policar came near looked and drove by. Sometimes they stop us just to take a look at the car, but those police guys were very friendly.

That is the coolest car at the moment IMO. I remember you posted some videos of the car too, so I'm wondering if you're working for 9ff?

I am responsible for press releases, photoshootings at 9ff. I am also the Designer of the GT9- "R-update". So it is also my job to move the car to press events.

Yes it did. But we drove a few slow rounds only for fotoshootings. It was impossible to drive fast on the track. Too cold and snow on the track. But the way to the Nuerburgring at the Autobahn was a lot of fun.

I'm happy for you, good to now something happend when you won that competition

Since you're the designer, I'm wondering why the "R" is just below the front wheel arc? I like the design very much and studied the pics in EVO, but is this a glitch or done on purpose?

Yes I won the design competition, but it did not helped me. The guys from Autozeitung were not able to help me getting my "first price". So I went myself to Ford and talked the interior designer Stefan Lamm, who was very friendly. He was so sorry that they could not let me into the design studios at Ford. So I decided to make my own way to get my dream becoming true. Finally I did it to 9ff and I am very happy there.

The whole decals on the car let it look much more wedge-shaped. So I designed them to let the car look much more aggressive and faster, also if it is standing still. ;o)
The min concept of the car is to build a streetgoing racecar with acceleration times like no other. So we never wanted to competite at the interior standards with cars like Bugatti Veyron. We did the car as light as possible with a very good Aerodynamic and enough power to become the worlds fastest street legal car. The 987HP engine converison did already hit 409 kmph. This stage got 1120HP and in spring we will hit the 416-419 kmph. It will be no problem for the engine ... but the track has to be long enough. The 409 has been drivven on a 7km long straight. The 1120HP engine stage has been measured in 15.2 Seconds from 0-300kmph. This car is horrible fast.

Speaking of the interior design, do you have any pics of it?

I didn't know, I happy everything worked out for you. As most of the guys on UCP i desperately wanted to become a car designer, but I didn't do enough out of "my talent" (if I ever had one ) to make it happen (Im happy at what I do now though). I've always liked your designs and am looking forward to see more of them in the future. Maybe in the flesh

Keep up the good work for all of us that didn't make it!
