    Old magazines

I was digging around in the garage for something to read and look what I found..

Bought this edition new in '72 and can't believe that (a) it has survived intact, and (b) that I've lugged it around for thirty six years!

Btw the Bolwell Nagari was capable of very low 14s in the quarter despite it having a rather modest 302cid (Cleveland) 2-barrel V8

One version of the 351ci is commonly referred to as a 'Cleveland'...heard that my whole life but never saw it related to a 302 before.

Here's an excellent info page for you on Ford Oz 302 Clevos (alround great website regarding 1960s~80s Falcons)

    Engines2

Pretty much anything you want to know about Oz-spec 351C .. the 'Square Block' .. 'D Block' .. a 'Pillow Block' .. the mysterious Nascar 'cheater' Block (covert export to US for racing) etc

    Engines

(very common engine here, even our locally built F-100~F-350s were factory equipped with 302 or 351 Clevos)
Btw Ford Oz actually considered building a 302C powered MkIII Cortina!

I have several 'Autopista' magazines from the 70's in boxes.

Maybe I should dig them out.

I've just emptied the car and need a stiff drink. I've just been given every issue of Autocar and Motor Sport from Jan 1959 to 1990. Some serious weight and some serious reading. Now where do I store them?

Allen Brown might be greatly interested in the Motor Sport issues.....

Storing magazines is a problem. They do take up quite a bit of space.

I can see you also use the LAEINPO magazine storing and archiving system.

Lol. Yeah, some are like that and some are in those magazine boxes. Storing them is "in progress."

Yeah, it's fun to look back at old magazines and look at the ads and all.

I do have Motortrends from 2002, I think, and it's fun reading the future car forecasts and seeing that they're nearly all wrong.

Remember the Cadillac 16 concept coupe thingy? I don't think we're getting that anytime soon. But yes, that concept was featured on Motortrend's front page.

Of course, mine aren't nearly as old as yours, but give me 30 years and it'll be there. I also have a good set of National Geographics from about 1989 to about 1998ish. They're in impeccable condition, and I plan to keep them just to browse through them for fun.

I've got every issue of F1 Racing fromm 1999 (June) thru February 2009. And it's really fun to go back thru the years and read and to see all the changes that have occured, over the years.
