Every ethnicity has their version of this, Persians this is it, Greeks it's a gyro, Turks it's a doener, Mexicans is a burrito.

I've had them all, and they are all fantastic.

Oh for crying out loud, now I'm even more hungry.

I'm definitely having Mexican for lunch tomorrow. It's hard as hell finding Mideastern cuisine here.

I see why you´re saying it, but I´m not entirely sure Burritos are Mexican at all.

I´m sure Nachos, for example, aren´t, nor is Chili con Carne.
    Caesar Salad, oddly enough, is.

The Mexican version of this is Tacos al Pastor, "al pastor" being a style of cooking meat, kebab style, with the spinning thing and the spices and all that. And slices of pineapple. Pure win. You can even have a deconstructed taco al pastor in a very famous fancy restaurant in Mexico City. EDIT: BTW, tacos al pastor are made with really small tortillas, the size of a happy meal hamburger bun or perhaps smaller.

Oh. Wikipedia says Burritos are Mexican, but doesn´t mention a relationship with the architecture of the kebab. Apparently their rapport is entirely coincidental.

There's a wonderful Lebanese kitchen a few blocks away form my house. Haven't been in about a year.
    Must visit. NAO!

One of the advantages of LA living is that, if you're willing to travel the distance, there is a pretty good diversity in the food.

Now I'm hungry, too. You guys are mean.

Off-topic, Pujol? Been there, although for the life of me I can't remember what I had. Pretty pissed off my arse that night in Polanco. Do remember we went over to Le Bouchon for deserts though. Killer crème brûlée.

    Yes indeed!

I am as happy about the fact someone actually knows the place as I am sorry for you, not remembering what must have been a marvelous meal :P

Gotta love a shoarma place right in front of school You guys ought to have a "Kapsalon" too; it's divine!

It's basically shoarma meat with cheese, fries, lettuce, tomatoes and a lot of other stuff! Cholesterol bomb but sooooo nice Started around the corner of my school with a creative Antillian barber and a Turkish shoarma salesmen and is now a hit country-wide
