    Lowest Height Production Cars

The other day, I was watching the final car chase scene in "The Transporter 2". Jason Statham drives a Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster underneath the toll booth gate. For a minute I pondered whether that's realistically possible.

So, I'm wondering if anyone can come up with a list (perhaps top 10/20) of the lowest height of road-legal production cars? This would be the height from the ground to the highest point on the vehicle, not the ground clearance height.

I've searched elsewhere online to no avail. I'm sure if anyone could come up with a list, all the avid car enthusiasts on this forum could put their minds together and do it.

I'll start it off with these vehicles:

    1. Caterham R400 - 800mm (31.5in)
    2. Saleen S7 - 1041mm (41in)
    3. Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster - 1065mm (41.9in)
    4. Koenigsegg CCX - 1120mm (44.1in)

also my triumph spitfire isn't very high (mostly as there's no rollover hoop or anything), as it really does fit under certain toll booth gates.

    Lotus Europa 43ins
Clan Crusader ( damn can't find specs online will have to go measure it )
    Piper GTT (41ins)

Too many low production UK makers from the 50s/60s to count
WHich brings me to the "cheating" with the Caterham. On an open top car then the height shoudl be taken as the top of the head, the rollcage or with the hood up (whichever is highest) ... making the CST chassis a 44inches

Miura is 1050mm tall (41.3 inches).

I thought that that height meant to the roof of the car?

The Piper GTR that's currently being remade as a continuation model is only 33" high.

Depends on the trailer. Nearly every trailer would be impossible to drive under. The clearance is just slightly too low, and even then, there's the support stand that hangs down.

The only trailer types some of the cars can go under would be large freight trailers, the kind of you see in shipping ports.

If you take the windshield off an MG midget, you can fit it under the trailer of a semi.
