The "110", announced in January 1955, was the first postwar passenger vehicle to be completely designed from scratch. The truck (120) launched at the same time was also popular and a month after going on sale, the number of orders exceeded 2,000 units. In November of the same year, "112" with a redesigned grille (winner of the Mainichi Industrial Design Award) was launched and in June of the following year, it was replaced by the column-shift "113".
