If this is what the car will look like, then I think the exhausts are a mistake. They just don't blend in with this car IMO.
Plus, Wouldnt there be a lot more modification to the front end, where the engine is, if this was the Scuderia version of the 599. Looks like a mule to me.
The moniker of this car is likely going to be GTO, not GTS (please, edit the thread title thanks).
There isn't a roadster/cabriolet/spider version in the works, maybe something a la Supermerica when the 599 will be close to its end. The chassis isn't basically able to get the level of performance they required without the roof, since it wasn't designed for that since the beginning, as opposed to cars like the F430, born as the Spider and then evolved into the coupe.
The "GTO" should be the road legal version of the 599XX, but I don't know if it's just the usual marketing stunt or something more.
Oh, and consider the 599 GT1 racer as a ghost.
On the never-ending-saga about this project, my last info says it's actually the 599XX.
Maybe it was initially designed as a GT1 racer and then "converted" to the laboratory project as the car was at first equipped with a FIA roll cage, while now it features a custom one designed by Ferrari. This would explain some of the contrasting info I got.
Sorry for the mess.

GTO makes much more sense than GTS.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.
Visca Catalunya!
