    ^^Thanks mate.

So ive now clocked up 5000 kays since purchasing ~6 weeks ago and I have mixed emotions.

    In the Positive:
    - The little beast got 8L/100km around town and Ive gotten it as low as 6.7 out on the freeway.
    - it PULLS off the line and really zippy in morning traffic
    - its half the size of a commodore so parralel and tight parking is not an issue at all
    - heater warms up within 60 secs of driving
    - hangs on HARD when pushed, flogged it up a local mountain and back down and its grip is stronger then my nerves

    NEGATIVE:
    - Stonechips, Ive had several cars with over 200,000 kays on them that had less stonechips then this car has picked up in 35,000 kays. It chips SO easily its ridiculous.
    - Driving position, for me its fine. My wife however finds that when she pulls the seat forward and jacks it up, her headcheck is met with B pillar blindness.
    - Its going into VW Service next month to get a few small things checked/changed
    - It gets FILTHY seemingly within minutes of washing. Its just constantly brown on the back of it. Hopefully mud flaps (to be fitted when at VW) will help resolve this.

but all the negatives are pretty minor, im overall extremely happy with it!

    To steal Fisets format:

    Is it practical?

Depends. If youre a single or a couple then its great. Plenty of space up front. Everything where you'd expect it to be. As it only has 3 doors its not so great for anyone who needs regular access to the backseat or has to seat anyone theres older then 4 years old.

    Is it economical?

Yes. 8L/100 around town and averages about 6.9L on the freeway. This is running on 98oc Premium Unleaded.

    Is it fun to drive?

Hell yes! Sticks on the road like glue. Ive taken it up and down a few twisty road and up and down some mountains and Im very happy with how it goes. I do wish the brakes were a little bigger/stronger though.

Will it break down all the time?

It is under warranty for another 2 years but I'd say not. Its a German car (spanish built) so I'd like to think its well designed and built. It has a definite sold feel to it when you open/close things and has enough sensors and buzzers that if a mosquito hits the radiator youll know about it.

    Is it easy to park?

Its a tiny car, compared to the regular land barges that roam around australia anyway meaning parking is easy as. You could park 3 of them in 2 parralel parking spaces....

What if I go to a Shopping Centre and get chased by baddies in a Corvette?

Since this review is in Australia where common sense and realism still exists... yes you will get away because theyll run out of fuel first. Or you could nick down a narrow street... Or you know, shoot them first.

    Is it green?

    Compared a Chrysler SRT8? Yes!

    Can I afford it?

Yes! Mine was $23,000AUD with 30,000 kays on it. Brand new theyre 31k fully loaded. Cheap, fun and well equipped.

What If I'm asked to take part in a beach assault with the Royal Marines?

The royal marines would go down against such German might!

So, should we all do one? As a sort of a fiset test next to the egg nog test?
