From what I understand it is not quite as good as the Ali G and Borat movies, simply because the character is too shallow and not all that funny.
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

I got up from my theater seat thinking it was pretty good but looking back at the movie there were a lot of funny moments throughout.

Cohen, like Tom Green, was only funny for two seconds IMO.

The problem I have with Bruno is that by now people know what to expect and the joke isn't funny.

Hell, even Borat doesn't work after the third view.

I might get dragged to it this week. Its not my type of movie, but I doubt I'll absolutely hate it.

I thought it was funnier than "Borat" and I LOVE Borat.

the borat movie wasnt anywhere near as funny as the episodes. neither was ali g. and i expect bruno. he's taken on a different image from the original bruno in 'da ali g show'.

i didnt like it. it had funny bits but for the most part it was 2 hours of gay porn. i mean "wow rednecks are dumb and they dont want to sleep with you" i mean borat was wayyy funnier. dont get me wrong it had its funny moments but the rest was just way too gay. i dont mean that in a derogatory way just that i dont need to see guys naked guys for 2 hours. thats what the internet is for (if thats what your into). i dont think stuff like this is good for the gay community it just reinforces sterotypes and the redneck stuff is all old news

Wouter, I've seen the Ali G movie and the Borat movie as well as episodes of Da Ali G show. In my opinion, Cohen's comedy has shown none of the genius of Monty Python, Ripping Yarns, Seinfeld or The Simpsons. He says a few funny things, but that is it.

Borat was funny in a screwed up way that was tolerable. Bruno was disgusting it was like sitting through a gay porn for 90 minutes, the last half I dont think I laughed once, and for much of it I had to literally cover my eyes for a few minutes. Was it really necessary to wave your dong in front of the camera for 3 minutes?

Do you think the guy who did that shot was listed in the credits?
