I guess that was fine if honestly I saw just some parts of it, and I wasn't really "paying attention".

REPOST: I WAS UNAWARE THERE WAS ALREADY A THREAD FOR THIS.

I went to see Bruno today, and while I laughed hard at several aspects of the movie, I did so because i was so completely embarrassed and sorry for the producer of the movie. If disgrace was a human being, the producer of the movie must be married to disgrace. The producer of the movie deserves to be flogged for making such mind-boggling and shameful movie.

DO NO TAKE ANY CHILD OR WHOLESOME HUMAN BEING TO GO SEE THIS MOVIE. THEY ARE GONNA GET DISTURBED, TRAUMATIZED, OR GET UPSET WITH THE AMBIGOUS AND EXCESSIVE SEXUALITY IN THE MOVIE. THIS MOVIE WILL DISGUST YOU.

The movie should have been classiifed as an X-rated movie. I can't beleive how they let the movie fly under the radar with that much sex in it. This was not a regular movie. This was a pure porn movie. I am glad I only 41.75 to see it at a dollar movie.

"Ambiguous sexuality", eh? Ain't nothin' wrong with that. I think most people have gotten over the "let's burn 'em" phase.
I think you are approaching this movie from a much too high-brow perspective.
While I would agree with the child comment, I know a few wholesome human beings who saw and enjoyed the movie.
I personally enjoyed it, partly because I realize that "suspension of disbelief" is just that. But I also am of the generation that, and I don't know if I can speak for everybody my age, sees sexuality as a normal part of life, not something to be covered up. Blame moral degeneration if you want. Also you are free to move to Utah, or to that (very dystopian) Disney city in Florida.
Now, you might consider it mean and degrading for Bruno to harass straight people, but when you think that SBC is a straight man it relieves some of that tension and makes it a funnier movie.
I also enjoy that his films lash out against political correctness, which overly permeates life these days.
All this said I find Ali G and Borat to be funnier and more intellectual characters, but Bruno was still an entertaining piece of cinema.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
