    Way back to the 90's

What would you guys drive, given the choice between the following cars. I wanted to make sure these cars were unique to the 90's in which they first began, and that they weren't just face lifted, redone models of pre existing cars. This is why the list is slim. I picked the vehicles that were instant hits, and most likely to be found on a poster in a kid's bedroom during this decade. So, which would you choose and why? How did the car of your choice inspire, shape, and fuel your enthusiasm for vehicles in general? Share your thoughts.

p.s. I did not include specifications, because I decided they wouldn't be necessary in a sentimental decision.

    Lamborghini Diablo

    Ferrari 355

    Porsche 993

    Dodge Viper

    Plymouth Prowler

If the 993 was a turbo I'd pause for a moment.. and then take the Ferrari anyway. Ditto if the Diablo was an SV. Assuming they're all hardtop manuals.

The individual cars can be whichever variants or models that you're happy with. They aren't limited to the examples in the photos.

Don't really want this to get into a debate about which cars are and aren't included ...

BUT ... the Plymouth Prowler ??????

and the real reason I'm posting ( bias showing ) why no Alpine A610.
The epitome of French sports cars in the 90s.
( and it handled better than all the 911s of the day according to all tests at the time.
BUT it came from a Renault deleaership so the "image" was weak )

The Plymouth Prowler is there because the point of the poll was to include show stopping cars that people would immediately recognize. I grew up seeing pictures of the Prowler everywhere. Kids loved the car. Although it may not be a good car or a pretty car to many peoples' standards, it was unarguably well known. To some, thats enough to make it a favorite. As for the Alpine you speak of, you'll have to forgive my ignorance, because I've never even heard of that. If it really is from the 90's it didn't make a big enough impression to hit this poll. That said, these are cars that were/are extremely popular in North America. What was going on in Europe at that time is beyond me. Sorry Matra

Almost went with the viper, but really the earlier ones aren't my favorite model, so I had to go for the 355.

A black 355 is still my dream Ferrari, i wouldn't mind one of the others, exept the Prowler.
