If they made a new E-Type it'd be a halo model, above and beyond the XK.

as said, it doesn't really matter unless you're one of those engineering types who argue incessantly over things being at 'optimum' whilst the rest of us are having sex with girls or whatever.

good call on corvette except for the whole not compatible for RHD, real world vehicle there chevy.. fail.

I was always under the impression that the XK is supposed to be the modern day equivalent to the E-type.

And we weren't good enough to get any of the previous skylines . I'd love an R34. Bummer there's not a universal side of the road that everyone drives on. Oh well, can't have it all.

It is, but if they were going to revive the badge and keep the XK then that'd be the way to do it.

I believe in equal opportunities.. I drive down the middle of the road!

fact: the reason toyota and honda are owning everything is because they are RHD biased.

this is why GM will fail!

Well, now Sweden changed....it is not that hard, you know

I drove LHD vehicles in Iceland for a year, sort of a challenge, but...

When I was a kid I worked on a golf course and the utility carts we drove were LHD but the 3-speed gearshift was on the left...best of both worlds! Plus, the cart paths were only one lane and no traffic!

Here's what I was thinking of. The 2013 Jaguar XE concept. Although instead of being slated above the XK as a flagship supercar kind of thing, apparently it's supposed to be a compact sports car like the Cayman/Boxster, TT, Z4 etc. Whatever...

Interesting.....will it still translate the same now that Jaguar is an Indian company?

Further reading of the articles implies that there will be a 'super car' down the road, and that the proposed XE is a compact sports car, vice a follow-on to the E-type of the 1960s...but I suppose that is what the proposed 'super car' will be...

Ahhh English cars, as designed by Indians and Germans....who da thunk it:-)

Jaguar research, design and prototyping is still at two locations in the UK. Coventry and Gaydon emplyingf about 5000 between the two sites ( plus other functions at each, so not sure how many are still now "pure" development )
