I don't like watches... on my wrist. They look nice, but I would never buy one.
An Omega Speedmaster Professional and a Tag Carerra of some king would be nice. A Calatrava of course would be cool.

I love Speedmasters - one of my all-time favourites, though I have never cared for Tags. They're a bit brutish. My problem, though, is that I have rather slight arms, so anything more than about a 40mm case diameter just looks goofy.
An it harm none, do as ye will

Now I feel like a chump. One of the low-level supervisors here comes from money. Has a Patek, a Bulgari (yuck), and a Speedmaster, among others. Grr.
Yes, Calatravas are timeless. No pun intended.

I went to the iceracing on Lake Algonquin today. It was a very good time and I highly recommend it. I didn't get to drive, but I did ride around in a 1-Series, Celica, and 9-3.
I talked to this guy for a while, he's quite quirky with his SM-powered formerly-hydropneumatic iceracer with a homebuilt supercharger.
Sorry for the lack of pictures, but I was too busy enjoying myself.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
Quite amazing indeed.

Visca Catalunya!
Can anybody remember a website posted a few years ago, in which a man (possibly Australian?) argues that the pound-foot is a natural unit of torque and the Newton-meter is not? If the guy wasn't an Aussie, I think it was either posted in the Sessions or elsewhere by one of our resident antipods.
I ask because my old FSAE team is slowly metricizing and I thought it would provide some good chuckle fodder.
