Don't get me wrong, there are some truly sublime details and aspects to the car, but as a whole it doesn't quite come together for me. I had high hopes, because I was very pleasantly surprised when the Phantom was introduced, so this is the opposite, like you say, of that for me. Like you and IB4R said, the styling is very nicely subtle and elegant, but if a Rolls' strongest point is its exterior I think that unless that exterior is truly awe-inspiring it fails the "true Rolls-Royce" test.

First off, I agree with f6fhellcat13's (don't know your first name ) remarks; it wasn't harsh.

To the car: this is just another over glorified luxury bus for uptight, highbrow investment bankers and private equity directors. Companies need to stop marketing to the Greenwich/Park Avenue douche-boxes and pull a luxury car out of their ass with some substance. This techy thing that seems to be popular in recent cars is becoming obnoxious; it's stupid in a BMW why the hell would it be cool in a Rolls? The interior looks like it's off an early millennium Cadillac. This is a pointless car and only seems to be a stupid marketing stunt with all this techno savvy shit they go on about. I'm really sick of these being released every 6 months.

At first blush, looked like a Cadillac DTS modded up...maybe with a V16...but, then I noted the BMW bustle-butt rear-end apparently grafted to a Taurus tail light system...

Oh, and that huge mouse-knob thing....shudder.....

At least VW-Audi have not tried to ruin the Bentley....

On the good side, I see no badges stating "Powered by BMW":-)

Looks far more refined than Phantom. Much better than all it's competitors. I like very much.

A man after my own heart.

I think Ghost is gorgeous, inside and out. Certainly the coolest non-sports car over $100K.

So from Phantom to Ghost. What will the next super-natural being be to have a Rolls named after it?

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

Quattroporte. And we'll see how the Mulsanne turns out.

    Yes...Quattroporte.

Even the Panamera Turbo is starting to grow on me over this RR (wait, did I say that out loud?) Although, I do like this more than many of the previous modern Rolls. The proportions are more balanced so it doesn't look as big as some of them have in recent years.

    I stand corrected.

Funny enough though: In my head the QP still lives in the sports car section.

PS: Panamera Turbo actually looks significantly better in person.

Mulsanne isn't good in person. Well, everything but the front is good, the front is terrible.

So I've heard. I haven't seen one yet so I'm curious to see how it looks in person.
